Taḥrīr-i Akhlāq-i Nāṣirī

This publication presents a modernised redaction of the celebrated ethical treatise Akhlāq-i Nāṣirī, originally composed by the thirteenth-century polymath Khvājah Naṣīr al-Dīn Ṭūsī. Recognising that the archaic prose and philosophical density of Ṭūsī's original masterpiece often hinder comprehension for the modern general readership, author Sayyid Raḥīm Ḥusaynī has undertaken a comprehensive Taḥrīr (rewriting) of the text. Published in Tihrān by Shirkat-i Chāp va Nashr-i Bayn al-Milal, this edition preserves the tripartite structure of the original work—covering individual ethics (Tahdhīb-i Akhlāq), domestic economy (Tadbīr-i Manāzil), and political science (Siyāsat-i Mudun)—while rendering the language into clear, contemporary Persian. It serves as an essential bridge for students and lay readers seeking to engage with the intellectual heritage of Īrān and Islamic moral philosophy without the barrier of obsolete terminology.
