The monthly magazine Sharāfat was published in Tihrān between 1896 and 1903. Managed by Muḥammad Bāqir Khān, a minister in the cabinet of Muẓaffar al-Dīn Shāh, it released a total of 66 issues in one volume. Similar to its predecessor, Sharaf, this magazine was renowned for its numerous and elaborate illustrations and photographs. It continued the tradition of Sharaf by focusing on portraits and biographies of prominent Iranian and foreign figures, including politicians and artists of that era, accompanied by detailed illustrations and photographs. Sharāfat significantly influenced and revolutionised the art and painting of its time.
