Tārīkh va jughrāfī-i Dār al-Salṭanah-yi Tabrīz

Tārīkh va jughrāfī-i Dār al-Salṭanah-yi Tabrīz, by Nādir Mīrzā Qājār and prepared by Ghulāmriżā Ṭabāṭabāʼī Majd, is a major nineteenth-century source on the history, geography and urban life of Tabrīz. Written by a Qājār prince closely connected with the city, the work combines historical narrative with descriptions of districts, buildings, institutions, notable families, rulers, customs, foods, local practices and aspects of everyday life. Its value lies in the breadth of detail preserved about the social and material world of Tabrīz during the Qājār period.
