Dar hāvā-yi āfāb: Chand māqālah darābar-yi Mawlānā

This book contains fourteen essays about Mawlana and Shams. A common feature of the essays is the extensive use of citations from their works. In recent times, reliance on the theories and perspectives of others to explain Mawlana’s worldview or mysticism has become so prevalent that readers lose sight of the original subject. Mawlana of the 7th century AH is obscured amidst countless incomprehensible references to the works of 20th-century Western theorists. In my view, the most reliable approach to Mawlana studies remains the effort to introduce his thoughts, literature, and art through quoting verses and excerpts directly from his works.

Despite the publication of numerous books and articles about Mawlana over the past two decades, the reprinting of these somewhat average essays may appear superfluous. However, if one day a dedicated library of research and studies on Mawlana is established, every book will find its place there, fulfilling a specific need in the field of Mawlana studies. Additionally, the public release of such writings and the feedback received from readers and critics will help the author become aware of their weaknesses and misunderstandings, prompting a reevaluation of their assumptions and beliefs.
