Bāzgasht bih maqṣad: Khāṭirāt-i shahīd Mahdī Vaḥīdī

The battlefield was a concentrated scene of relentless activity. The combat engineering units of the brigades were actively constructing defensive berms, while intense shelling and bombardment offered no respite. It was essential to stabilise the front lines to ensure effective support for the advancing forces. Supplying ammunition and evacuating the wounded and fallen to the rear were among the top priorities set by the brigade commander—tasks he entrusted to Ḥājj Mahdī, who was serving as the brigade’s deputy commander.
