Dawlatī, Rūznāmah-i (Qājār) – Collection of 5 years including 58 issues

In the month of Rabīʻ al-Avval 1283 AH, during the tenure of Iʻtiz̤ād al-Salṭanah as the Minister of Science, when Mīrzā Abū al-Ḥasan Khān Ṣanīʻ al-Dawlah was in charge of the printing house and government newspapers, Nāṣir al-Dīn Shāh ordered the publication of four newspapers in Tihrān. These were: first, a government newspaper without illustrations; second, an illustrated government newspaper; third, a national newspaper; and fourth, a scientific newspaper.

"Rūznāmah-i Dawlatī", maintaining its sequential numbering, was a continuation of the 'Rūznāmah-i Dawlat-i ʻAlīyah-i Īrān' and effectively a continuation of the 'Rūznāmah-i Vaqāyiʻ-i Ittifāqīyah'. The first issue of this new series was numbered 593, published on 3 Jumādá al-Ūlá 1283 AH, while the last issue, numbered 650, was published on 10 Dhū al-Ḥijjah 1287 AH. This newspaper was published in Tihrān using lithographic printing, and it stated on its front: "Published in the victorious and protected capital, in the blessed Dār al-Funūn school, at the government printing factory".

The masthead of the newspaper featured a lion and sun emblem, with the sun positioned on the lion's back and the lion standing upright, holding a sword. The newspaper's characteristics were printed on both sides of this emblem. The number of pages was typically five, occasionally extending to six or seven.

Although the publication frequency wasn't explicitly stated, the dates of the issues suggest it was a monthly publication. The content of the newspaper began on the first page with court news related to Nāṣir al-Dīn Shāh under the heading "Court news pertaining to the auspicious presence of His Imperial Majesty". This was followed by news from the royal court, events and occurrences from various cities and provinces such as Yazd, Fārs, and Kirmān, and occasionally news from Europe and America under the heading "News from foreign countries".

The court news section also included information about ministries, gifts and robes of honour bestowed by the Shāh on various individuals as rewards for good service. The final published issue of the government newspaper was number 650, which was released on Thursday, 10 Dhū al-Ḥijjah, after which the newspaper ceased publication.
