Tārīkh-i ʻAbbāsī: (rūznāmah-i Mullā Jalāl Munajjim) : tārīkh-i Īrān dar rūzgār-i Shāh ʻAbbās Ṣafavī

Tārīkh-i ʻAbbāsī, also known as Rūznāmah-i Mullā Jalāl Munajjim, is a Persian chronicle of Iran in the age of Shāh ʻAbbās Ṣafavī. Written by Mullā Jalāl al-Dīn Muḥammad Munajjim Yazdī and edited by Maqṣūd ʻAlī Ṣādiqī, it presents events in a chronological sequence that connects the royal court with developments across the country and its neighbouring regions. Its contents include political change, military expeditions, the activities of princes and commanders, and affairs involving Khurāsān, the Uzbeks, Baḥrayn, Kurdistan and the Ottoman frontier. Accounts arranged by year allow readers to follow the course of events and compare developments in different places. The volume includes an editorial introduction, appendices, an index and a bibliography. As a historical narrative from the Safavid period, it offers material for studying royal government, regional conflict, court affairs and the writing of history in early modern Iran.
