Shīrāzī: nigāhī bi lahjah-yi mardum-i Shīrāz

This comprehensive study examines the Shīrāzī dialect spoken in Shīrāz, the historic capital of Fārs Province in southern Īrān. Sipāsdār conducts a thorough linguistic analysis of phonetic variations, morphological differences, lexical peculiarities, and syntactic patterns that distinguish Shīrāzī speech from standard Persian. The work includes extensive documentation of local vocabulary, idioms, proverbs, and traditional folk songs that preserve authentic dialectal forms. Through systematic comparison with Persian literary language, the author demonstrates how Shīrāzī maintains distinctive features while remaining closely related to the standard variety.
